One Step Closer

So, Al has been in Saudi for about 6 weeks now. He is adjusting as well as can be expected, without his bestfriend there. He did get to come home for the weekend of Ryan's graduation and got to stay for three very short days.

I have sent all my paperwork to the Saudi Embassy in DC and was told that I should have it back and ready to go by Wednesday, June 2nd. Once I get that back and email a copy of it to Al I will just be waiting on an airline ticket. I'm looking forward to this new adventure and being with my amazing husband again.

Light at the end of the tunnel

All paperwork and medical requirements complete. We will be overnighting everything to the visa handler on Tuesday. According to everyone else who are already there or on their way there are saying it's taking about 8 days to get the visas complete and then about 5 days to get airline tickets. We are thinking that we will more than likely be gone by the 1st or 2nd of March. I am getting more excited everyday, it's just getting everything in order here before we go that is hectic. Please keep us in all of your prayers as we begin this new journey.

Paperwork paperwork paperwork

As most of you know, Al and I will be heading to Saudi soon. Al has taken a job there as a flight medic. We are looking forward to the adventure and opportunity to see the world. We have been working on getting our visa issued. There's a crazy amount of paperwork required. And apparently the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is OCD about everything being certified or notarized. Now we are only waiting to get our physicals completed and we will be in the home stretch.
